Day 1
Depart from Juneau for White Stone Harbor
Look for Humpbacks and Orcas as we begin our voyage down Chatham Straight
Day 2
White Stone Harbor to Tenakee Springs
A detour into Freshwater bay to view Brown bears, followed by a hike through the historic town of Tenakee Springs and lastly drop Crab Pots near the old crab cannery.
Day 3
Tenakee Springs to Basket Bay
Retrieve the crab pots and continue on southbound for Basket Bay for a breathtaking kayak adventure
Day 4
Basket Bay to Cosmo Cove
Plenty of more opportunities for fishing , hiking, and kayaking as we travel alongside Baranof Island
Day 5
Cosmo Cove to Red Bluff Bay
Experience a tour of working Salmon Hatchery followed by a hike that ends at riverside thermally heated hot springs. We anchor in Red Bluff Bay with the sounds of waterfalls in every direction.
All routes and anchorages are subject to change depending upon weather conditions and tides…we also don’t want to give away all of our secret spots :)
Day 6
Red Bluff Bay to The Brothers
Departing RBB across South Chatham and into Frederick Sound. A quick stop on Kuiu Island to spot some Sea Otters, and then coming to our nightly anchorage of The Brothers Islands.
Day 7
The Brothers to THE GLACIER
A lengthy but beyond beautiful cruise through the Fjords of Blue Ice. Conditions depending leaves us the choice to venture to Dawes or Sawyer Glacier. Both equally spectacular and breath taking. A guests favorite for photography and dramatic landscapes.
Day 8
Holkham Bay to Juneau
Before our disembarking and farewells we enjoy a stop at Taku Harbor to see what happens when nature takes back an old closed down cannery.
